There could be quite the tussle brewing in the upper echelons of English football over a very exciting looking attacking talent.
Clubs are always on the lookout for the next big thing and, though early in 16-year-old Ramello Mitchell’s career, it’s clear he is highly thought of.
Indeed, according to the Daily Mail, the likes of Leeds, Southampton, Manchester City and Manchester United are all aware of the player, but it’s Wolves pushing most to try and get him from Birmingham.
The report suggests that the Molineux side is looking to seal an agreement soon with their Midlands rivals, though Championship title challengers Leeds have also made an enquiry.
The Whites have been impressive in bringing in some of the best young players around the country to their club in recent seasons, meaning both their U23 side and U18 outfit is strong.
And, when you look at the progress of Jack Clarke and co. Mitchell may well be tempted if the Whites push further.
Quite the race seems to be on for Mitchell and it looks as though he has got a big decision to make in the coming weeks.
Wolves clearly want to get it done, but can the likes of Leeds avoiding being gazumped and steal in? We’ll soon see.
