Leeds to close the gap on top six v Norwich? EFL pundit shares perhaps surprising verdict

Leeds United have a real chance to make up ground on the play-off pack tomorrow but will have to overcome Norwich City at Elland Road.

With Derby playing Aston Villa, Leeds know three points will push them to within touching distance of at least one of the sides above them. As well as that, Sheffield United face a tricky encounter away to Preston.

However, Thomas Christiansen’s men will just be looking to win themselves and despite the Canaries lowly position, EFL pundit David Prutton thinks they will leave Yorkshire with a perhaps surprising point tomorrow.

The ex-Whites midfielder predicted a 1-1 draw in his regular column for Sky Sports, believing Daniel Farke’s side will be boosted by a significant win against Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

Even though they trailed, the Yellows came back to win 3-1 at Carrow Road to end a sequence of seven games without a win and ease the pressure on their German manager.

They travel to Leeds looking to end a run of three successive away defeats, whilst the hosts will be looking for their fifth home win of the season.

The Verdict

This is a little bit of a shock prediction from Prutton as many observers would expect Leeds to win with home advantage.

The Whites have found form in recent weeks and are starting to replicate the style of football and results that saw them top the division in September.

Yet, Norwich have plenty of talented players, particularly in the final third with the likes of Nelson Oliveira, Wes Hoolahan and James Maddison, so it should be an intriguing match with both needing a win.

Thoughts, Leeds and Norwich fans? What will the score be? Let us know in the comments below.
