Hull City are aiming to bring in four new players this month, according to a report by The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Two Scottish Premiership players and a duo of League One stars are on Hull’s radar this month as Nigel Adkins eyes a major squad revamp to lift the Tigers up the Championship table.
Jack Marriott of Peterborough United is one of the players Hull have taken an interest in.
The 23-year-old has netted 17 goals for Posh in the league this season, ranking him as the top scorer in the division, and he has a further five goals in five games in the FA Cup this term.
Leeds United are also keen on the former Luton Town forward, who is hot property this January.
Meanwhile, Hull have also looked to League One for another target: Scunthorpe United’s Hakeeb Adelakun.
The 21-year-old winger has well over 100 games for the Iron under his belt already in his career, despite his young age and he is continuing to impress in League One.
Adkins is also scouring the Scottish market for players and Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna is a top target.
After seeing two bids rebuffed for the 21-year-old centre half, Hull are set to return with a third offer.
However, Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has stated that the Scotland under-21 international is not for sale.
Jordan Jones – a target for Rangers – is another target for Hull.
The 23-year-old is a Northern Ireland international who is impressing for Kilmarnock this season.
If Hull can beat Leeds to Marriott, then that would be a fantastic signing. Jones would also be a terrific buy given the calibre of clubs chasing his signature. The other two are risks but investments for the future – both are young, with plenty of potential and could become future stars at Hull.
