Football League World recently ran a poll to find out who fans thought had the best away support out of two of the Sky Bet Championship giants, Leeds United and Newcastle United.

Leeds have been in the Football League for over a decade now, following their relegation from the Premier League in 2004.

During that time the club has had little to celebrate, and even found themselves in League One between 2007 and 2010.

Despite their demise, Whites’ fans still travel the length and width of the country supporting their team, they recently took over 6,000 fans to Blackburn Rovers, and sell out the majority of their away allocations.

Newcastle are back in the Championship this season for the first time since the 2009/10 season, where they were promoted to the Premier League.

The Magpies have the biggest home attendance on average in the Championship, getting over 50,000 fans into St James’ Park most weeks.

Rafa Benitez’s side are often followed away form home by a large numbers of Geordies, with Newcastle recently selling out their allocation for a midweek trip to Norwich City.
