If Ross McCormack is going to leave Leeds United this summer, potential suitors are going to have to match his valuation of £8m according to HITC Sport.

McCormack won last seasons golden boot scoring 29 goals

McCormack won the Championship golden boot during the 2013/14 season which has led to the player having many admirers, including the likes of West Ham, Leicester and Malaga.

It is in fact 2012/13 Champions League Quarter Finalists Malaga who are reported to be the most interested club, but Leeds' £8m valuation of the player could prove to be a stumbling block. As with most selling clubs, the price tag is exaggerated to make sure they can hold on to their star asset.

Losing McCormack would be a great blow to Leeds as they are trying to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season. However, cost-cutting measures are being put in place at the Yorkshire club with 440 members of staff sacked so far. This could mean that McCormack is sold to bring in some much needed funds which is sure to prove to be a worry with the Leeds faithful.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, the player himself though does seem to be focused on challenge ahead at Elland Road and as club captain he sets a wonderful example to the younger players at the club.
