According to The Northern Echo, Leeds United are weighing up a move for Hartlepool wide man Nathan Thomas.
Hartlepool were recently relegated to the National League and they need to sell some of their prize assets to raise cash.
Talented young winger Nathan Thomas’ exit looks inevitable and recently promoted Sheffield United have recently been linked with a £300,000 move.
The 22-year-old was in the youth system at Newcastle United and Sunderland before senior spells with Darlington, Plymouth Argyle, Motherwell, Mansfield Town and now Hartlepool.
Nathan Thomas caught the eye earlier in the season, netting nine times in 22 league games but a groin injury has halted his progress and he could not prevent the Pools from relegation when he returned.
With Hartlepool desperate to raise funds, Nathan Thomas could be offloaded with Championship side Leeds United joining Sheffield United in the race.
Leeds face an uncertain future with Monk’s contract yet to be tied up but they will already be thinking ahead to possible transfer deals.
