Leeds set to move for 27-year-old Championship defender

Leeds United are set to make a move for Yeovil Town defender Byron Webster, according to the Western Gazette.

The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Leeds United manager Brian McDermott is keen to snap up the former Doncaster defender.

Yeovil have been relegated from the Sky Bet Championship and a number of their players are set to leave the club to stay in the second tier.

Glovers full-back Luke Ayling is a target for newly-promoted Brentford, and Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in striker Kieffer Moore.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is set to give Brian McDermott a sizeable transfer kitty, and the club could make Webster their first summer signing.
