Leeds reject opportunity to sign Liverpool midfielder

Sky Bet Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds United have reportedly opted against signing prospective Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria on loan, according to YEP journalist Phil Hay via The Express.
Garry Monk is looking to complete a number of deals before the transfer window deadline tomorrow, including West Ham United forward Ashley Fletcher, but the 19 year-old from Merseyside won’t be one of them.
Ejaria has made eight appearances this season under Jurgen Klopp with five starts, mostly coming in the EFL Cup, but the top-flight outfit were looking for him to gain experience and get more game time away from Anfield.
It’s suggested that Ovie Ejaria has picked up an ankle injury which will put off a lot of potential suitors, and that is the reason behind Leeds United ending their pursuit of the England under-20 international.
Ejaria made his debut for Liverpool earlier this season in the 3-0 League Cup victory over Derby County and is highly regarded within the ranks there.
Leeds United fans, should an injury be enough to pull out of any deal? Has Garry Monk played safe and kept his budget for other potential new arrivals? Let us know below!
