Hadi Sacko looks set to leave Leeds this season, and potential suitors Denizlispor could be his next destination.

Denizlispor Technical Director Yücel Ildiz has expressed a desire to sign him, telling TRT Spor that he is just waiting for an announcement from the club.

Sacko became a prominent member of the first team after signing for Leeds in 2016. Garry Monk favoured the winger but in the last two years, the 25-year-old has just made 18 appearances.

Marcelo Bielsa is clearly not a fan of the Mali international, and last season he had two loan spells, at Las Palmas and at MKE Ankaragücü, and his performances in the Turkish Super Lig caught the attention of Denizlispor.

It looks likely that he will leave Elland Road on a permanent basis, as he is likely some way down the pecking order following the recent signings of Jack Harrison, Helder Costa and Rafa Mujica.

The Verdict

Leeds have been determined to get rid of their fringe players this summer and therefore it was always likely that Sacko would depart, as he has simply failed to impress Bielsa.

His pace and directness could have proved useful for Leeds next season, but he is simply not productive enough and his decision making in the final third requires significant improvement.

When the club is bringing in the likes of Helder Costa there is no chance of Sacko getting a look in, and therefore it is right for the club to move him on and free up his wages for better use elsewhere.
