Leeds United are plotting a move for highly rated AC Milan youngster Andrea Petagna, according to FootballTransferTavern.
The 19-year old striker is highly rated with the Rossoneri but has failed to make an impact in the first-team having only featured five times this past season.
It is thought that Milan hope to loan out the Italian starlet in order for him to gain first-team football and it is believed Massimo Cellino will use his links with Italy to secure Pretagna’s signature.
Cellino has already used his contacts in Italy to sign three players – Marco Silvestri, Tommaso Bianchi and Souleymane Doukara – and Pretagna’s agent has hinted that his client could be the fourth signing.
Giusseppe Riso, Petagna’s agent told the press, “Andrea will leave AC Milan on loan to gain experience. There are a few Serie B’s teams interested in him, like Crotone, Latina and Perugia while in Serie A Cesena like him.
“But it is not said that Petagna remains in Italy. I know that Cellino’s Leeds like him too, we’ll see what AC Milan decide to do.”
