Leeds’ Italian owner Massimo Cellino has demanded that Leeds players must live in the Yorkshire city.
Cellino has given a reason why players must live in the actual city itself. Last season players were turning up late to training sessions and games, and Cellino has said that this is because that the players do not actually live in Leeds.
Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Cellino said “Next season I do not want one single player who lives outside of Leeds, no way. That is mandatory.” In the interview with BBC radio Leeds he went onto say “last season there were players turning up late to games”
Massimo Cellino went even further, the Italian wants the players to stay together before a home game, have dinner together and go to games together. He wants the players to stay together because the players must be able to sleep well and they would be unable to do this if they have young children or their neighbours are having a party.
The 57 year old also wants to buy a team bus. He says that Leeds do not actually own a team bus and he is to buy one.
