Leeds, Newcastle and Norwich City are among a host of clubs interested in signing Bodo Glimt defender Fredrik Andre Bjorkan, according to TEAMtalk.

The 22-year-old has been a regular for Bodo Glimt over the past five years, making 83 appearances in all competitions for the Norwegian side.

This season, the left-back has made 32 appearances for Bodo Glimt, who finished first in the Eliteserien table this term, and is now said to be attracting interest across Europe.

Celtic held talks with the left-back in the summer, according to TEAMtalk, but failed to wrap up a deal for the defender.

Now, Leeds, Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth and Norwich have been credited with an interest, as the January transfer window looms.

Norwich have lacked depth at left-back this season, Jamal Lewis left Carrow Road for Newcastle in the summer, and Sam McCallum was allowed to join Coventry on loan.

Xavi Quintilla has endured a couple of frustrating injury issues, meaning that Jacob Sorensen has had to fill in there.

The Verdict

This could be a good signing for Norwich.

Bjorkan has been a key player for Norway's best team over recent years, and at the age of 22, he could now be ready to make a move over to England.

Norwich definitely need to add another left-back to their squad, as with a hectic schedule on the horizon, they need to have plenty of players available.
