Tony Mowbray has confirmed that Barry Douglas is among the players that Blackburn Rovers are looking at between now and the transfer deadline on Friday evening.

The market shuts at 5pm tomorrow and clubs are bound to be scrambling around looking to make final tweaks to their squad ahead of the next couple of months.

Of course, we've got a window in January that will come about in no time at all but the games are going to be packed in between now and then and having a robust squad is important for success this year.

Mowbray knows that, then, and revealed this morning in his pre-match press conference that Leeds United full-back Douglas is among the targets he is considering at the moment:

The Verdict

Douglas is a good player and one that brings quality on the ball with his left foot.

He also has experience of being in promotion-winning sides with the likes of Wolves and Leeds United and Blackburn may hope, if he joins, some of that will rub off on their current side.

Of course, he'll want to prove his fitness after some tough lay-off periods with Leeds but there's no doubting he is a good player and Blackburn are evidently keen on him.
