Leeds United have continued in a similar vein to last season and sit top of the Championship, and it appears they have impressed their rivals with their performances too.

The official Twitter account for Birmingham City 'liked' Leeds' tweet which announced Eddie Nketiah's goal last night, prompting the Leeds account to cheekily call out their action.

Posting a screenshot of the 'like', Leeds captioned the photo using the 'All Leeds aren't we' [ALAW] hashtag, as if to infer that Blues are supporters of the club too.

Nketiah's goal - his first in the Championship - proved to be the winner for Leeds and sent them top of the table, although they are level on points with Swansea.

The Blues' reasoning for the 'like' is unknown, so it is natural for Leeds to assume that they are impressed with their team's performance, or at least happy for Nketiah to score his first goal at Elland Road - in which case they weren't the only ones.

The Verdict

This is interesting to see and there should perhaps be more recognition from one club to another if they play well or a particular player achieves something big in their career.

Leeds have responded to the incident well and their humourous reaction should be appreciated by all, including Blues fans.

The Yorkshire side have performed brilliantly so far and last night limited a good Brentford side to just five shots and a little more than 30% possession, so it is only natural they were rewarded with a late goal, which Birmingham couldn't help but acknowledge in their own little way.
