Leeds United are looking good for the top six at the moment but they know they cannot let things slip with it so close in the play-off race.

The men from Elland Road have had a good campaign so far and are in the hunt for those top six spaces come the end of the season.

They'll be looking for things to go well in this transfer window to really keep their challenge up, however, but whilst we wait to see who arrives they've also been planning the future of Yosuke Ideguchi.

The Japanese international is a Leeds player but not available for selection until next season meaning he needs to get minutes elsewhere.

And, according to Adam Pope on Twitter, the Whites are expecting a loan deal to be sorted for the midfielder for him to play in Spain for the rest of this campaign - as long as he passes his medical:

Leeds, then, are lining up a loan deal for the Japanese international and it remains to be seen if it profits him playing out in Spain.

Whites will hope it does, of course, ahead of next season.

The Verdict

This is a wise move from Leeds as they need Ideguchi to be match-fit.

He won't be if he just stays with them, though, and so should this loan deal go through it should benefit all involved.
