New Leeds owner Massimo Cellimo plans to  raid the Italian Serie A as he lines up new first team signings, reports The Daily Express.

Viviani is one of the three Italian players linked with a move to Elland Road

Italian Cellino, formerly the owner of Serie A side Cagliari, plans to go back to his old club to sign promising young goalkeeper Marco Silvestri. The 23 year-old has spent most of his career on loan, including current club Cagliari, and has not made a first team appearance for parent club Chievo.

Another player on Cellino's radar is striker Daniele Cacia who plays for Hellas Verona. As previously reported in The Daily Express, the 30 year-old wishes to leave Hellas Verona this summer despite helping his club gain promotion to Serie A. talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for a few weeks now.

The final player that Cellino is after is Roma's Federico Viviani who spent last season on loan at Pescare and Latina. The 22 year-old midfielder is a hot prospect, and as reported by FTB Pro the player's representative has confirmed Leeds are interested in the player.

“Federico is resting and is now on vacation after (ending loan spell) with Serie A team from Latina. When he returns we will sit down with the club and decide together. Leeds and other English teams are showing interest in Federico," he said.

It is now a waiting game as to whether the club can sign these three players to help Leeds build a squad capable of promotion. Owner Cellino has identified his targets and will pursue them himself as he has made himself in charge of every deal the club wishes to pursue.
