Wolves are willing to let Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa leave the club in the summer transfer window, The Express and Star have reported in news that could put several Championship sides on alert.

Despite both players having two years left on their current contracts at Molinuex, it is thought that Wolves will listen to offers for the duo in the coming months, which could spark a response from a number of Championship clubs.

One club who could be interested in the duo are Leeds United. It was recently reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post that Leeds are interested in a loan move for Costa in the summer, while it was reported by The Sun in January that the Elland Road side were interested in a move for Cavaleiro.

Leeds could however face competition when it comes to Cavaleiro, with Fulham and Huddersfield, who were both relegated from the Premier League last season, both thought to have been monitoring his progress for the last year.

Costa and Cavaleiro both joined Wolves in the summer of 2016 from Benfica and Monaco respectively. Costa has gone onto make score 19 goals in 109 appearances for the Midlands side, while Cavaleiro has also found the net 19 times for Wolves, in 106 appearances.

The verdict

This should spark a response from a number of Championship sides.

Both Costa and Cavaleiro played big parts in Wolves Championship title winning campaign of two years ago, and could make similar contributions at this level next season, even if they are not part of Wolves' plans for next season.

It is unlikely that either player will be short of offers, given their top tier pedigree, so those in the Championship may need to move fast if they are to secure the services of either player.
