Leeds United ace Mateusz Klich has sent a cheeky dig the way of Tottenham star Harry Kane as the wait for the season to resume continues into April.

The likes of Leeds will be itching to get going again as soon as possible this season with them hunting down a long-awaited return to the Premier League at the end of the campaign.

Indeed, the idea that the season could be declared null and void is one that few Whites will really want to think about, but it has not yet been taken off of the table as an option.

Klich, though, is one man that would like to see the campaign resume as soon as possible and he offered this slight dig towards Tottenham ace Kane who has perhaps suggested a different preference.

The Polish midfielder said via Leeds Live:

“I don't know who wants to finish the season more, us or Liverpool. Yesterday, Harry Kane said the season should be cancelled, but I know why he wants that.”

The Verdict

Klich has shown he is more than willing to have a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun during his time at Leeds United and here he has underlined that once more.

Obviously, the likes of Leeds and Liverpool want to see the season completed naturally, rather than voided, and clubs like Tottenham, with little to play for at this stage, perhaps do not care as much.

It remains to be seen, then, what will happen next in terms of the season.
