Quoted in a wide-ranging interview with ESPN, former Leeds striker and fan favourite Mark Viduka has revealed how his relationship with Harry Kewell soured at the club - though things have thawed slightly since.

Viduka and Kewell were part of one of the last great Leeds sides that challenged at the top end of the Premier League and also forayed into Europe on a frequent occurrence.

Both would leave as the side eventually disintegrated with Kewell moving to Liverpool and Viduka to Middlesbrough, though, and it appears the pair didn't see eye-to-eye during their time in Yorkshire together.

Viduka revealed:

"At Leeds, it got to the point, if Harry and I were in the sheds by ourselves, we wouldn't even look at each other.

"I had a problem with [Kewell's agent] Bernie Mandic. Bernie was my agent when he took me from Celtic to Leeds, but ... I severed ties with Bernie.

"I think maybe our relationship at Leeds wasn't that good because -- and I can't say for sure -- I think that affected the way [Harry] viewed me. [The relationship is better now.] We last spoke in 2013."

The Verdict

On the pitch, the pair produced some of their best stuff of their careers in the famous white shirt so seeing that they didn't particularly get on may well come as a surprise.

Viduka is looked back on more fondly than Kewell by Leeds fans but both were top class at the early stage of this century with Leeds one of the top sides in the country.

With them top of the Championship, they'll be hoping they can achieve a return to the Premier League as soon as possible.
