Leeds United are just five points behind second place after a crucial comeback win against Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.

The Whites trailed at the break thanks to a first-half goal from Tom Naylor, but Pablo Hernandez restored parity with a fine free-kick before Kemar Roofe sealed the points.

Victory meant the Whites extended their winning run to four games which came at just the right time for Thomas Christiansen.

The Leeds boss was under pressure after a dismal October but the club stuck by the manager who is now replaying that faith.

And, it seems the win at Burton was taken particularly well by Pontus Jansson. The popular Swedish centre-back was seen running over and cheering with the away end after the win and also took his shirt off to give to the fans, in a video posted by @foakesym on twitter.

Fans of the Yorkshire club will love to see the passion from the defender who has always interacted with the fans since joining the club under Garry Monk last year.

After a poor spell, Jansson is now beginning to show the form that saw him regarded as one of the best defenders outside the top-flight last season.

The Verdict

Leeds fans will love this video and it shows just how much it means to Jansson.

Of course, it’s nothing new for the ex-Torino man to celebrate with the supporters as he has made a habit out of it over the years.

Players should always be encouraged to show their passion to the fans and it can help create a bond in the club and everyone connected with Leeds will be hoping to see more scenes like that in the future.

Whites fans will no doubt be hoping that the Swedish defender remains at Elland Road in January, as he is undoubtedly one of the best players outside of the Premier League.

Southampton have been linked with a move for Jansson in the past, and with Virgil van Dijk set to leave, it may be worth taking a punt, using Betsatr, on Jansson departing Elland Road for St Mary's.
