Leeds United will have to battle it out with Middlesbrough for the signing of QPR playmaker Luke Freeman in the summer.

The classy 26-year-old has been a key player for the R's this season and is currently their top league scorer with seven, whilst he's also weighed in with four assists.

That form has not gone unnoticed, with Marcelo Bielsa supposedly keen on bringing the player, who recently scored the winner against Leeds, to Elland Road.

However, London Football News have revealed that Tony Pulis is also monitoring Freeman.

The report states that Freeman was a target for the Teesside outfit in the summer and that they will once again be in for the former Bristol City man when the window opens.

Obviously a lot can change between now and then with both sides looking to secure a return to the Premier League which will inevitably influence transfer plans.

TalkSPORT broke the news of Leeds' interest in the past as well as claiming that they were interested in QPR teammate Eberechi Eze.

The Verdict

You can imagine that Freeman will be a man in demand in the summer as he really is a top player at this level.

He has proven himself time and time again, boasting excellent technique and he is very productive in the final third.

There would be doubts as to his ability in the top-flight but if Leeds and Boro remain in the Championship then bringing Freeman in would be a major coup.
