Eddie Nketiah hasn't endured the loan spell he would have originally hoped for with Leeds United, with the forward seeing his opportunities restricted by Marcelo Bielsa.

He'll be hoping he can force his way into Bielsa's plans in the future though, as he looks to show Arsenal what he can offer them in future seasons.

Nketiah has recently sent a message to Arsenal team-mate Reiss Nelson on Instagram, who celebrates his 20th birthday on Monday.

Nketiah won't come up against Nelson in the FA Cup Third Round clash, with Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth revealing that Nketiah isn't available for the game due to the terms of his loan agreement.

The Arsenal loanee hasn't had much game time so far this season due to Marcelo Bielsa's persistence with playing Patrick Bamford.

Although that seems to be paying off now, with Bamford playing his part in Leeds' impressive run of form heading into the festive period.

The Whites have won their last six games in the Championship, and will be hoping to keep this strong run of form when they take on Arsenal in the FA Cup in the New Year.

Leeds are next in action on Tuesday when they take on Hull City, in what could potentially be a tricky test for Nketiah and his Leeds team-mates at Elland Road.

Whilst Arsenal will be looking to build on a win over West Ham when they take on struggling Southampton in the early kick-off on Saturday.

The Verdict:

It's good to see he's still in contact with his Arsenal team-mates whilst out on loan.

Nketiah is going to have to do something special to get into the Leeds starting XI in the future though, as Patrick Bamford seems to have hit form at the ideal time.

It'll be interesting to see who comes out on top between Leeds and Arsenal in the FA Cup game next month, and I think Leeds will fancy their chances of coming away with a surprise win to add to Arsenal's shaky first half of this year's campaign.
