Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw will be hoping to add a promotion with Leeds United to their CV this season, with the Whites in pole position to secure a Premier League return.

Leeds currently sit top of the Championship table, and whilst Forshaw has struggled with injury and has seen his season ended, Dallas has been a regular for Marcelo Bielsa and key to propelling the Whites to the top of the table.

Promotion this season wouldn’t be either players’ first, as their recent Instagram activity showed.

Both Dallas and Forshaw looked back on their promotion to the Championship with Brentford, which fell on April 18th 2014 following a 1-0 victory over Preston North End.

Dallas simply wrote: “On this day 6 years ago,” whilst Forshaw said: “6 years ago today! Great memories with great lads.”

The season in question saw Forshaw make 40 appearances across all competitions and score eight goals. Dallas was slightly less involved, making 33 appearances, but still returning five goals.

The Verdict

Promotion is a big moment in the career of many professional players, with Dallas and Forshaw no different.

Their time at Brentford was when they were young players and it will have meant a lot to them to begin their rise through the Football League at Griffin Park.

Promotion with Leeds may or may not mean more to the pair, who will be hoping to have moments like this again in the coming months.
