Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment at Elland Road should finally get Leeds United going in the transfer window.

It was confirmed on Friday that Bielsa would be taking charge at Elland Road on a two-year deal, with the 62-year-old taking his first steps into management in England.

Bielsa is inheriting a squad at Elland Road that really struggled in the Championship last season, with Leeds eventually finishing 13th.

Leeds’ squad needs some reshaping this summer, but Leeds haven’t made their first move in the transfer window, with Bielsa only days into the job at Elland Road.

It is expected that Bielsa will now get to work on reshaping his squad, with Leeds set to return for pre-season training in a week.

With that in mind, we take a look at THREE potential deals that Bielsa needs to taking a look at, which could really kick-start Leeds’ summer transfer window…

Leeds need to get a goalkeeper on board this summer, with Gunn one name who has been linked.

The Man City stopper was impressive last season at Norwich City, where he was ever-present.

Bielsa’s relationship with Pep Guardiola could help Leeds get this deal done quickly.

Diaz is another City youngster that Bielsa should be taking a look at.

The 18-year-old has had a taste of football in the Premier League and Champions League, but could do with some developing.

Guardiola could be keen for Bielsa to help Diaz develop over the next 12 months.

Vydra is amongst Bielsa’s top targets this summer.

The Derby County forward scored 21 goals in the Championship last season and really impressed as the Rams finished sixth.

If Bielsa wants Vydra, Leeds need to make their move.

It will be some statement and the perfect start to the summer for Leeds if they get the forward on board.
