Leeds United picked up a badly needed three points last night to get their promotion bid back on track, beating Swansea City 2-1 at Elland Road.

Pontus Jansson gave the Whites the lead inside 20 minutes before Jack Harrison doubled the advantage ten minutes before the break.

Oli McBurnie's late penalty threatened to spoil the evening for Marcelo Bielsa but the two goals were enough to send him and his side back to the top of the Championship table.

For Harrison, as well, it was an important individual performance.

He has not had the easiest time since arriving at Elland Road from Manchester City on loan in the summer, directly contributing to just five goals in 22 appearances.

But Bielsa has always shown plenty of faith in the 22-year-old and his performance last night will be a big boost to everyone at the club, especially after the Daniel James debacle in January.

So, how will Harrison himself be feeling after an impressive midweek display?

You have to suspect that he will be delighted to have scored such a big goal for his club whilst also being grateful for the faith Bielsa has shown in him.

It was a brilliant header that ultimately won the game for Leeds but also a professional and industrious display that will ease the pain from the January window significantly.

It will be very interesting to see how he performs for the remainder of the season and whether he can become the winger that Bielsa so badly desired last month.
