Reading FC midfielder, Michael Olise, is attracting interest from the Premier League at this late stage of the transfer window.

Leeds United, Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all credited with an interest by the Reading Chronicle, but it’s noted that it will take a lot more than £5m to get Reading considering a sale as the transfer window ticks into its final 48 hours.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the Championship’s brightest sparks over recent seasons and is thriving at the Madejski Stadium right now.

Quiz: Do Huddersfield Town and Leeds United have these 10 things in common?

After a single assist in 19 Championship appearances last season, Olise has stepped things up a gear in 2020/21.

The Frenchman has played in all four fixtures for Veljko Paunović and has contributed to Reading’s perfect start in the Championship.

Olise has scored one goal and registered two assists, with the Royals matching Bristol City’s four wins from four in the opening month of the 2020/21 campaign.

Earlier in the summer, Football League World exclusively revealed that Olise was attracting the interest of Leeds, Arsenal and Wolves.

Their interest is yet to materialise and get Reading considering a sale. However, just over 48 hours of the transfer window still remain.

The Verdict

Leeds, Arsenal and Wolves have been tracking Olise for some time now and it’s going to be interesting to see if any of the trio match Reading’s valuation in the coming two days.

Olise has had a top start to the season and he’s essential to Reading’s plans to push on for promotion. For that reason, it’s going to take a serious bid to get the Championship side considering a sale.

However, Leeds, Arsenal and Wolves all offer an attractive move and if they come in hard over the next 48 hours, something might give.
