Harry Wilson has highlighted his desire to earn a chance at Liverpool, despite ongoing speculation linking him with another loan move away from Anfield.

The winger featured for Liverpool over the weekend in a friendly against Chester, scoring twice and impressing for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

After an impressive outing, the 21-year-old has highlighted his desire to earn a chance at Anfield:

“At the moment I am getting the chance to train at Melwood and get minutes in the friendlies and my aim is to impress the manager and stay here,” the Mirror’s live transfer blog (09/07, 11:36) reported.

“If that’s not possible then we will weigh up the options and go from there.

"If you are in his training squad then he’s given you the chance to impress him. I have to make sure I use that chance.

"Over the coming weeks I am sure we’ll sit down and see what the plans are.”

Hull City have been linked with a reunion with the midfielder, after he scored seven goals and registered three assists during a prolific loan spell at the KCOM Stadium last season.

Leeds United are another club who have shown an interest, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

However, that same YEP report also suggests that Wilson is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs, who are making a move to Elland Road seem difficult, regardless of his situation at Anfield.

So far in his senior career, Wilson has managed just one senior appearance for Liverpool, which came as a substitute in an FA Cup clash during the 2016/17 campaign.

The Verdict

Despite interest from elsewhere, Wilson is clearly determined to earn himself a chance with Liverpool in the coming season.

The winger is doing everything he can to earn that chance, but if it doesn’t come, there will be opportunities arising elsewhere.

There’s no doubt though, this is a blow for Leeds and Hull.
