Leeds United have a rich history in English football but have suffered since the inaugural season of the Premier League.

The Whites were relegated in 2004 and since then, have not really looked like coming back - until potentially this season.

The reasons for their exile are widespread and have been debated for long periods, but it looks like they could be on their way back now, finally.

The Elland Road faithful may have realistic aims of creating more dreams in the Premier League, but for now, they will have to reminisce on past memories, and there have been many.

Over the years, Leeds have made many positive memories in the top flight and it is worth having a stop to think of the best, which is what we have done.

Mark Viduka is one of the best strikers of Leeds’ history, and his best moment came when he scored four goals in one game against Liverpool.

All the pointers and logic suggested Liverpool would ease to victory when the Merseysiders made the trip to Leeds, but the Aussie re-wrote the script and paid back a large chunk of his £6m fee.

2000 was the highlight of Leeds’ successes in the Premier League – the Whites finished 3rd.

David O’Leary’s men missed out on the title, but their formidable home form was something that will live long in the memory of Leeds supporters.

In May 2001, Leeds defeated Bradford by 6 goals to 1.

The Whites were knocked out of the Champions League in dramatic fashion days earlier, but this result in a Yorkshire derby was tremendous and was Leeds’ best performance of the season.
