Leeds United’s 2017/18 campaign was extremely disappointing, with the Whites failing to build on a fantastic start to the season and finishing in mid-table.

The Whites looked well in promotion contention under Thomas Christiansen at Christmas, but a disastrous 2018 left them in 13th, with Paul Heckingbottom in-charge.

Heckingbottom has managed just four victories during his time at Elland Road so far, with it looking likely that the 40-year-old will oversee a huge change in personnel this summer.

Players will undoubtedly be heading for the Elland Road exit door, whilst others will arrive.

Leeds’ previous transfer strategy has taken them to Europe, but focus this year appears to be switching to the domestic market, as the Whites look to put a disappointing campaign behind them.

With that in mind, here is a look at THREE potential deals that could hinge Leeds’ push for the play-offs during the 2018/19 campaign…

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Hernandez is a target for Leeds, with the striker leaving Hull City on a free this summer.

The 27-year-old’s 2017/18 campaign has been disrupted by injury, but he still scored eight Championship goals.

Hernandez could be the man to spearhead Leeds’ promotion push.

Bartley is another on Leeds’ radar, according to the YEP.

A deal for the centre-back is difficult due to Swansea City’s Championship return, but Bartley remains a target.

Alongside Pontus Jansson, Bartley would help solve a lot of Leeds’ problems at centre-back.

Leeds have been loosely linked with the Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper already this summer.

The Irishman would be a shrewd signing at Elland Road and a huge upgrade on Felix Wiedwald.

If Leeds decide to recruit a new goalkeeper this summer, Westwood would be a standout candidate.
