The 2015/16 season was arguably a successful one for Bristol City.
When joining one of the hardest leagues in the world last summer, the Championship, City would have established their primary aim as avoiding relegation.
Having achieved that, it comes with many bonuses. The Robins are now a more established Championship side than they were last time this season. With that, comes a more inviting prospect as a club and therefore players will be more likely to join the club.
Last summer was an agonising one for Bristol City in the transfer market as they missed out on some key signings. For example, Andre Gray snubbed a move to Ashton Gate in order to join Burnley.
However, this summer is totally different kettle of fish under Lee Johnson. His established side will be able to attract higher calibre players in order to push up the table next season.
The signing of ex-Premier League midfielder Gary O’Neil is a good example of that and will certainly be an added talent to the side for next season.
Having said that, City also have a whole host of talent already at the club. The side that saw them promoted from League One as champions included many young talent that prove to be very promising.
However, the relegation fight that took place towards the end of last season meant that the Robins were more inclined to choose reliability and experience over youth.
Now their Championship status is far less precarious than this time last season, youth could be the way forward to move the club forward next season.
Here are THREE young stars Lee Johnson should look to use next season…
