Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has revealed it is unlikely Tammy Abraham will feature for the Robins tomorrow night against Norwich City, reports the Bristol Post.

Abraham has been missing since last month’s defeat to Leeds United, and is back with his parent-club Chelsea, receiving treatment on his thigh injury.

The striker joined the Robins during the summer and has scored 22-goals this season, but has failed to prevent Johnson’s side slipping into a relegation battle.

Following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Burton Albion, City moved into the bottom-three, and face a difficult task against Play-Off chasing Norwich on Tuesday, without their top scorer.

Speaking of Abraham’s chances, Johnson told the Bristol Post: "I'll be speaking to Chelsea later on today to get the latest on Tammy. As things stand, it is looking unlikely for tomorrow.

"I would say it is 40-60 against him being back with us. But if there is any chance at all that he can come back and be on the bench for us, then we will do that."

Saturday’s stalemate with Burton left City a point adrift of Wolves in the bottom-three.

Following tomorrow’s clash with Norwich, Johnson's face a vital fixture with Wigan Athletic, who are also troubled with relegation.
