Lee Johnson has revealed that Bristol City's defeat to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night left him feeling as upset as he's ever been when watching one of his sides.

In truth, it was a lacklustre display Johnson's Robins side, as they fell to a third consecutive loss against a Huddersfield side battling relegation.

The Terriers took the lead in the first half before doubling their advantage in the second. Famara Diedhiou scored a consolation goal late-on but City slipped to yet another defeat.

They are still just three points off the play-off places but in their last five games have now picked up just three points. On the weekend, the Robins travel to the Den to face Millwall, in what is set to be a must-win fixture for either side.

Johnson revealed that he was upset by his side's performance last night.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Johnson said: "I feel upset.

"As upset as I've been watching one of my teams with players I've signed.

"It was a very difficult watch."

The Verdict

Some quite damning quotes from Johnson and it shows just how bad he thought the performance was on Tuesday night.

They need a lift from somewhere and to pick up some points. The Robins seem to be completely out of form at exactly the wrong time.

An improvement is needed if they want to get into the top six and after four defeats in five, it may well be hard to raise confidence in the squad.

Johnson could even be under pressure if he watches his side put in another poor performance in the tough away trip at Millwall on Saturday.
