Deadline day for domestic transfers is here and it should be a hectic one for EFL sides as they look to add to their squads and also get rid of players that aren't a part of their plans.

For Charlton Athletic, it should be a busy final day as Lee Bowyer looks to make the final touches on his squad after finally getting a green light to sign players without restriction.

That said, the Addicks are having to contend with the league-wide salary cap that came into play earlier in the summer, and that will obviously have had an impact on negotiations.

Today, though, we should expect two signings at The Valley with Lee Bowyer offering an update via the club's official Twitter account yesterday evening:

We saw Erhun Oztumer and George Lapslie leave the club on loan on Thursday and so there is obviously space for a couple of new arrivals - let's see who comes in.

The Verdict

Some decent signings have been made for Charlton this transfer window and Lee Bowyer now needs to finish the job in the final hours of the market.

A new striker would surely be ideal to help them in their promotion push and we'll just have to see if they can arrange such a deal.
