Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer takes his Addicks side to the north-west this afternoon in Sky Bet League One as they look to get back to winning ways.

Their form on the road has been decent of late, with three wins in the last four matches, but it is their home results holding them back with them losing last time out to Gillingham.

A trip to Fleetwood could yield a result, though, though Bowyer will need to contend with the following couple of dilemmas…

Striking options

Chuks Aneke is suspended for this one and so Bowyer needs to weigh-up who he is going to feature in the final third this afternoon.

He likes to play a pair and it seems likely Jayden Stockley will retain his place in the team with him on the score-sheet against the Gills last weekend.

The question is, then, who comes in alongside him? Conor Washington is back from injury but Bowyer needs to assess whether he is ready for the start, whilst Ronnie Schwartz has been in and out of the team, too. It’s a big chance for whoever gets the nod, though, and they’ll be eager to take it.

Midfield shuffle

Jake Forster-Caskey is set to miss out with a slight hamstring problem and so there’s a room in the midfield for someone to come in.

Bowyer will need to decide whether he will tuck Andy Shinnie inside and let Diallang Jaiyesmi come in on the right or whether he’d rather keep Shinnie out wide and bring in Albie Morgan or Ben Watson.

Certainly, in terms of the latter scenario is seems Morgan would get the nod at the moment, whilst someone like Matt Smith will also be hoping to get a chance to show more of what he can do for the Addicks after arriving on loan.
