Derby County boss Wayne Rooney has hit out at Rotherham United chairman Tony Stewart and labelled him as "disrespectful" following the 3-0 defeat to the Millers last night, which has drawn a mixed reaction from fans of the club.

After two postponements, the two sides finally met at the New York Stadium last night and it was the hosts that finished the happier as they scored three times in the last 15 minutes to take all three points – Michael Iheikwe, Michael Smith and Ryan Giles the goalscorers.

It was a disappointing evening for Rooney and his team, made worse it seems by some of the comments made from the Rotherham directors box.

Speaking to the Derby Telegraph after the game, the Rams boss was quick to criticise the Millers chairman.

He said: "The one thing that Rotherham didn't show was a bit of class, a bit of respect from above.

"I think the chairman, Tony Stewart, was a bit disrespectful.

"We are quick enough to have a go at fans for using language and being offensive on the side, but you don't expect it from the chairman.

"I wouldn't expect it from our owners or board, so it is a bit disappointing."

The result sees Rotherham climb up the table into 22nd, within two points of safety and 20th-placed Derby despite having played two less games than the visitors.

Sibley? Jozwiak? – Can you name which Derby County player scored each these 15 goals this season?

Rooney's frustrated comments appear to have caught the attention of Rams fans, with many taking to Twitter after the game to share their thoughts.
