League Two leaders head the race to sign Hibernian defender

Sky Bet League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle are leading the race to sign Hibernian defender Jordon Forster on loan, according to The Herald.

Could Plymouth manager Derek Adams make a move for Jordon Forster in the next few weeks?
The Pilgrims are looking to strengthen their playing squad during the January transfer window in order to secure promotion from English football’s fourth tier.
They are currently top of the League Two table, three points clear of second place Northampton Town, and eight points clear of fourth place Portsmouth.
Hibs boss Alan Stubbs confirmed that if an offer came in for 22-year-old central defender Forster, he would be allowed to leave on loan.
Argyle are the only club to make a formal offer as yet, but clubs north of the border are said to be keen, with Kilmarnock, Dundee United and St Mirren the Scottish sides who have coveted the defender for some time.
League Two rivals York City have also made an enquiry about Forster’s availability, although the prospect of playing at the top of the division may sway Forster’s decision if both make formal bids.
However, Pilgrims manager Derek Adams is thought to be in prime position for the player’s signature as he knows him from his time as assistant manager at Easter Road.
