With less than two weeks to go until the start of the new League One season, things are starting to heat up in the summer transfer window.

Plenty of clubs are rushing about, trying to get deals done as they look to make strides in 2019/20.

One club who must be sick of the sight of transfer windows is Portsmouth, whose star-man, Jamal Lowe, is being continually linked with a move away from Fratton Park.

Here, though, we begin with the latest on the 24-year-old...

Jamal Lowe

Portsmouth are standing firm in Wigan Athletic's pursuit of Jamal Lowe.

The 24-year-old played an influential role in guiding Pompey to the League One play-off semi-finals last season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.

Pompey are holding out for £3m for Lowe, but Alan Nixon claims that Wigan do not want to pay that quoted fee anytime soon.

Sean McLoughlin

Hull City are reportedly set to beat Portsmouth to the signing of Cork City defender Sean McLoughlin, according to RTE News.

The 22-year-old's contract with the Irish side runs out at the end of the season, with a move to England looking to be on the cards.

The highly-rated centre-half is set to undergo a medical at the KCOM Stadium this Thursday, with Pompey set to miss out on the upcoming defender.

Deji Oshilaja

AFC Wimbledon have lost defender Oshilaja to Charlton Athletic, after a two-year stay at Kingsmeadow.

The 26-year-old made 80 appearances for the Dons in all competitions, playing an influential role in their survival from the drop to League Two last term.

But after a successful trial at the Valley, Oshilaja has now moved to Charlton on a free transfer, penning a two-year deal.

Jack Grimmer

Wycombe Wanderers have landed former Coventry defender Jack Grimmer on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal after an impressive trial with the Chairboys.

The 25-year-old was influential for Coventry in their promotion-winning season in League Two in 2017/18, and was named in the PFA Team of the Year as a result of his impressive displays.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth told Bucks Free Press: "Jack is an excellent defender who can play in a number of different positions and that will be invaluable for us going into the new season."

Jak Alnwick

Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick is set to sign for Blackpool, according to reports from Football Insider.

The 26-year-old endured an impressive loan spell with Scunthorpe United last season, but has found himself fall out of favour behind the likes of Allan McGregor and Wes Foderingham at Ibrox.

Now, he looks set to play in League One again next season, with a move to Bloomfield Road now on the horizon.
