The upcoming League One campaign is fast approaching, and as a result, the transfer market is starting to really kick into gear.

In just under two weeks, the third-tier campaign commences, in what is shaping up to be an extremely competitive League One line-up.

Here, we take a look at the latest transfer developments regarding League One clubs...

Ipswich Town confirm Rangers signing

Ipswich Town have bolstered their defensive options with the signing of Rangers centre-back George Edmundson.

The 23-year-old has joined The Tractor Boys for an undisclosed fee, becoming the club's ninth signing of this summer transfer window.

Edmundson spent time with Derby County in the Championship last season, but his latest challenge will be helping to steer Ipswich to League One glory.

West Brom forward secures League One move

West Brom striker Callum Morton has joined Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan.

The young Baggies forward spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan with Lincoln City, scoring two goals in 17 appearances.

It was not made clear whether Morton was going to be part of Valerien Ismael's plan for the upcoming season, but his move to Fleetwood shows he is at least another year away from breaking into the first-team set up.

Rotherham see six-figure bid for EFL player rejected

Rotherham have seen a number of bids rejected for players this summer and today has seen more of the same.

The Millers saw a six-figure bid in this scenario rejected by Rochdale for former Manchester United midfielder Oliver Rathbone, according to Football Insider.

The 24-year-old's current deal expires next year, meaning Rochdale are running the risk of losing him for free if nothing can be agreed soon.

Black Cats close to sealing Premier League signing

Sunderland are reportedly closing in on the signing of Liverpool left-back Tony Gallacher.

According to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon, a deal should be completed tomorrow, in what is likely to be a loan move.

The left-back area has emerged as a priority area for Lee Johnson's side. Should a deal go through, it is expected that a right-back would be targeted next.

Sheffield Wednesday finally secure goalkeeping target

In a chase that Sheffield Wednesday seemed unlikely to emerge victorious, The Owls have secured the loan signing of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

His parent club Burnley wanted a Championship suitor for the Northern Ireland international, but it is Wednesday who have secured his services.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper is more than likely to be the club's number one choice for this upcoming campaign.

Wednesday make it two in quick succession

Within an hour of Peacock-Farrell's arrival, Sheffield Wednesday announced a second signing of the day, with Lewis Wing arriving at Hillsborough.

The 25-year-old joins The Owls on a season-long loan from Middlesbrough after spending last year with Rotherham United.

Wing has struggled to cement a place at Boro in recent years and has dropped down to League One in search of regular minutes.
