Doncaster Rovers and Peterborough United are set to go head to head in the battle to sign Danny Rowe, according to sources close to HITC Sport.
Danny Rowe has caught the eye of some admirers after his stunning goal scoring exploits in non-league.
Playing for AFC Fylde in the National League North, Danny Rowe notched a staggering 37 goals to help his team win the sixth tier of English football.
His tally for 2016 was 55 goals.
Now the 28-year-old is being lined up for move up three divisions to play for either Peterborough United or Doncaster Rovers.
Peterborough are renowned for snapping up players from the lower leagues and non-league and have already signed Ricky Miller (Dover Athletic) and Danny Lloyd (Stockport County) from non-league this summer.
Doncaster are aiming to bolster their squad ahead of their League One campaign after winning promotion last year.
The National League North Player of the Year now looks set to earn a move to the Football League.
