Rotherham striker Alex Revell is catching the eye of numerous League One clubs according to Sky Sports.

The thirty-one year old striker helped guide Rotherham to Championship promotion, scoring twice to complete a 2-2 comeback in the League One Play Off final at Wembley against his former club Leyton Orient, with one of them being a screamer from near the halfway line.

Revell has only one year remaining on his current deal at the New York Stadium and hasn't recently been offered a new deal with the Millers which has alerted several clubs.

Alex Revell's impressive goalscoring record in League One is attracting several outfits in the second tier of The Football League.

It's believed that League One clubs Sheffield United, Bristol City and Coventry City are all keen on the striker, along with Championship side Birmingham City having tame interest.

The Cambridge born striker signed for Steve Evans' side in 2011 from Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee, when the club lost Adam Le Fondre to Reading who was their key striker at the time.

Revell started to be a proven goal scorer ten years ago, after coming through the youth ranks at Cambridge United, he signed for non league side Braintree Town he scored thirty-nine goals in sixty-five games, then going on to Brighton and scoring over twenty goals.

Whilst at the Millers, Revell has scored twenty-three goals in one-hundred and twenty-five appearances.

Millers boss Steve Evans has already snapped up a similar striker to Revell in former Nottingham Forest striker Matt Derbyshire, who also has plenty of experience in front of goal.

Revell had a spell with Southend United from 2008-2010, but spent the second season out on loan at Swindon Town and Wycombe Wanderers.
