Sky Bet League One side Bury are considering an offer for former Leeds captain Sol Bamba, according to The Sun.

31-year-old Bamba, who has also played for Leicester City, was released by Garry Monk shortly after the summer transfer window closed and it currently on the lookout for a new club.

The Ivorian joined Leeds on a permanent deal in 2015 after enjoyed a successful loan spell at Elland Road for the previous six months and he went on to play 56 times for the club.

It would be an ambitious move for the North West side as Bamba has had plenty of playing time in England and throughout Europe and it would add some experience to their backline.

The Shakers have had a fantastic start to the campaign and they currently sit third in League One after picking up 14 points from their opening 8 league games.
