Queens Park Rangers have been busy since the end of the Sky Bet Championship season.

Ian Holloway guided QPR to a 16th place finish in the Championship, comfortably clear of the relegation battle.

Despite a steady season, Holloway has since departed Loftus Road, with Sky Sports reporting that Steve McClaren is on the verge of taking over.

McClaren has previously been part of the coaching set up at Loftus Road, and has also managed the likes of Middlesbrough, Newcastle United and Derby County, as well as an infamous spell in-charge of England.

The 57-year-old’s previous spells in the Championship came at Derby, where he became one of a lengthy list of managers to fail to lead the Rams to promotion.

As expected, McClaren’s link to the vacant job at QPR has generated plenty of interest across social media, with many not convinced that he is the might man to take QPR forward…
