West Brom host Aston Villa in the Championship on Friday night in what should be a superb game between two genuine promotion contenders.

Not only does this game mean an awful lot in terms of picking up three points, but it's also a big derby game that the fans will be desperate to win.

And, here we look at the two men who are sure to play a big part in deciding who has those bragging rights:

As our graphic shows, Dwight Gayle and Tammy Abraham are both huge players for their respective sides and are the main men in front of goal.

In terms of scoring goals, Abraham's recent form, an incredible seven goals in four games, has seen him leapfrog his rival in the charts.

The on-loan Newcastle man at the Hawthorns has been suffering with injuries that have restricted him to a role from the bench in the past few weeks, though.

Yet, he should be fully fit and in line to start against Dean Smith's side who do struggle defensively.

Gayle will hope Albion's creative players provide him with the chances he needs to make a decisive contribution, as he has done time and again at this level over the years.

Meanwhile, Villa will just want more of the same from their in-form striker.

Abraham's all-round involvement is reflected in the graphic, with the England international a more rounded player than Gayle because of his physicality.

That could be important against two imposing West Brom centre-backs.

Like his counterpart, Abraham will be relying on service too, with both sides boasting several quality, creative attacking midfielders.

And, the outcome of the derby could rest on who manages that, because both Gayle and Abraham have shown they are ruthless in front of goal and they will look to be the difference for this huge encounter.
