Sunderland misfit Dider Ndong has today left the club with an amicable agreement being reached that will see him pay them compensation upon signing for a new club.

The 24-year old was once their record signing, but after just over 50 senior appearances he leaves in disgrace after effectively going on strike in the summer.

He did return last month, but the club immediately sacked him for a breach of contract, resulting in him having to leave the country due to work permit issues.

They now reached an agreement with him which will see him pay them compensation, going some way to atoning for his abhorrent and disrespectful behaviour.

That won't appease the fans he has insulted during his time with the club and they've been reacting to his departure on social media with a mix of anger and delight.

Here are some of the responses to today's news on Twitter.
