Lazio set to pip Wolves to signing of Euro 2016 defender

Lazio are poised to sign Wolves target Jordan Lukaku, according to HITC Sport.

The Serie A outfit are set to confirm the signing of the Belgian international defender for a fee of around €5m.

The Rome-based club have apparently beaten off competition from Wolves and Southampton to land their man.

Wolves were supposedly interested in the left back, who played for Belgium in the European Championships this summer. It is no secret that the club is looking to strengthen that area and Lukaku was one of the names linked with a move to Molineux.

Jordan is the younger brother of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and has been playing for Belgian top division side Oostende since 2013, after moving from Anderlecht.

The 21-year-old is due for contract negotiations and a medical in Italy later this week.

Meanwhile, Wolves will have to look elsewhere to strengthen the left full back spot after being taken over by a Chinese consortium earlier in the day.

Wolves fans – what do you think? Are you disappointed to miss out on Lukaku? Which left back should you sign?
