Derby County bounced back to winning ways at the weekend as they saw off Swansea City 2-1 at Pride Park.

Two goals from on-loan Liverpool man Harry Wilson, including a goal of the season contender, put the Rams in firm control of the match before a second-half own goal gave Graham Potter's side a slither of hope.

The three points were not enough to put Derby back into the playoff places but did draw them level on points with Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest who both occupy top-six positions.

On Monday night, however, the Football League took a backseat for a change as the stars of world football descended on Paris for the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric took home the big prize after winning the Champions League and leading his national side to a World Cup final.

But it was the position of Lionel Messi that really raised eyebrows with the Argentinian placed in a lowly fifth place.

Many found this absolutely laughable including Derby County's assistant manager Jody Morris, who shared a picture of himself and some Derby players having a training ground laugh in response.

Here is what fans had to say to his tweet...
