Hull City are actively pushing for the Championship season to be voided, with the Tigers the main club opposing the campaign’s restart.  

Grant McCann’s side are hovering dangerously above the relegation zone in the Championship and pre-postponement hadn’t tasted victory in 11 fixtures, which put them on the brink of dropping into the bottom-three.

As per The Telegraph, Ehab Allam has written to Championship clubs to raise his serious concerns over the restart of the season, underlining that he is against things restarting.

Of course, curtailing the season now would retain Hull’s Championship status for at least another year, whilst on the flip side of that, resuming thrusts the Tigers into relegation danger.

And, amongst the club’s fanbase, there’s more divide.

Some feel Allam is once again making them the laughing stock of the Championship by looking to avoid relegation, but others feel that it is the right call, with public safety needing to take priority.
