Leeds United are on the lookout for a winger and an attacking midfielder as they look to give Marcelo Bielsa the additions he needs to secure promotion.

Despite having a very thin squad, the Whites got back to winning ways in style last night, recording a comfortable 2-0 success over Derby County.

That saw the club extend their lead at the top to five points ahead of today's fixtures.

Following that win, the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed that there was more good news for the Yorkshire club, with Real Madrid's keeper Kiko Casilla likely to join.

And, the report also provided an update on the Whites transfer business, claiming that those two positions in the final third are where Bielsa wants to strengthen this month.

Bringing in an attacking midfielder wouldn't be a surprise as Leeds lost the classy Samuel Saiz at the start of the month after he pushed for a return to Spain.

That has left them short in that department, whilst they have been extremely reliant on 18-year-old Jack Clarke in recent weeks down the flank, with the teenager impressing once again last night.

The Verdict

Despite their fantastic season, there is a feeling that Leeds could do with a few more additions to help them over the line.

One area that needed addressing was in goal, so the news about Casilla is great for Leeds.

Now, it's about finalising those final two deals and if they manage to do so it will have been a very productive window for the side at a crucial period.
