Cardiff City remain in the hunt for Cauley Woodrow at Barnsley and could still make a fresh move for him today with the deadline passing at 5pm this evening.

It's been a busy window for many and we could well see a flurry of activity as clubs look to finalise their squads ahead of a very hectic period of the season.

The window might open again in just over two months from now but there is a lot of football to be played in the meantime and, in the Championship, teams need to be ready.

Cardiff, then, see Woodrow as part of their plans for this campaign and it sounds as though they will make a fresh bid for him today, though Barnsley are reportedly looking for better than what has been tabled so far.

This comes from Doug O'Kane on Twitter:

The Verdict

Barnsley are a team that will be desperate to keep hold of Woodrow but Cardiff will surely feel that they can get him today, it just all comes down to the financials working for the Bluebirds.

Woodrow would be a decent signing for the Welsh side, too, with the way he can link things up in attack so let's see if they prove successful as the day goes on.
