Footballing stat guru, Goodbrand Stats (@StatsChristian), has revealed some of the numbers behind Aden Flint’s recent goalscoring heroics for Bristol City.

The centre-back is in excellent goalscoring form, with @StatsChristian revealing that in his last 15 starts, Flint has scored on six occasions – an impressive return for a defender.

The stat guru then went on to reveal yet more impressive information on Flint, with the defender bagging 30 goals from his last 147 appearances.

Flint has found himself on the scoresheet on three occasions already during the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign, with his goals coming against Reading, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bolton Wanderers.

The 28-year-old’s latest effort came in the 2-0 victory over Bolton last night, which helped move Lee Johnson’s Robins to seventh in the Championship table, just one point outside the play-off places.

Flint has featured in six of City’s 10 Championship fixtures so far this season, having missed the opening stage of the campaign due to uncertainty surrounding the defender’s future.

Birmingham City were interested in luring Flint away from Ashton Gate, with Bristol City rejecting two bids from their Championship rivals during the summer transfer window.

Flint has now begun his fifth season with the Robins.

The Verdict

Flint’s goalscoring statistics are exceptional, particularly for a defender.

The 28-year-old’s averaging more goals than most midfielders in the Championship, whilst some strikers will also be impressed by his recent goalscoring ratio.

It is easy to see why Bristol City battled so hard to keep Flint at the club over the summer, with the defender’s performance in the Championship this season excellent.
